My sweet husband had to stop at a gas station on his way home from work the other day, and saw a barrel of these cute mini pumpkins standing by the register. Now, neither of our primary love languages is gifts, but still, he thought I might like them, and picked up a few to bring home. Just a split-second intentional decision. An "I'm-thinking-of-you-while-we're-apart". Nothings fancy, nothing expensive (I think they were .50 a piece!), yet every time I walk by this little trio sitting on our front table, I smile. And think of how simple an expression of love can be.
What is some small, simple way you can tangibly show someone you love them today?
Love them! My love language is acts of service, but I definitely appreciate little "thinking of you" gifts, too -- even simple things like a favorite candy brought home for a snack. In fact, those are the best.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I are gift people either, but little gestures like this feel so good!
ReplyDeleteI leave hidden love notes for my guy here and there. Anytime I'm thinking of him, I'll scribble down my thoughts and tuck it away somewhere for him to find. It's a nice way to show my love, and I will never get tired of seeing the surprise on his face.
